TDP to break-up with BJP

The long-term alliance is about to break between TDP and BJP. As the centre made it clear that SCS for AP will not be possible, TDP is now trying to mulling out of the alliance.
Sources say that CM has told the party’s two central ministers in Narendra Modi’s Cabinet – Ashok Gajapathi Raju and YS Chowdhary – to resign and the process of separation starts with the resignations.

The resignations may most likely to take place on March 10th, and withdrawing from the centre would take place a few days after the resignation.
At a meeting of all the 125 TDP MLAs and 34 MLCs in Vijayawada on Tuesday chaired by Naidu, a majority of the party’s legislatures have favoured breaking of the alliance with the BJP.

Meanwhile, armed with feedback from his elected representatives on the future of the alliance, Naidu will make a statement in the AP assembly on Wednesday, sources said. At Tuesday’s meeting, Naidu told his legislators to expose the “injustice” meted out to Andhra Pradesh by BJP, sources said.

“The people of AP buried Congress for cheating them and BJP should remember it. How can BJP seek votes without doing justice to people? The Union government is making a mockery of the state, I will give more clarity on the floor of the house tomorrow,” Naidu said.
