Suresh Prabhu to replace Gajapathi Raju

The portfolio of Ashok Gajapathi Raju has been handed over to the Commerce and Industries Minister Suresh Prabhu on Saturday.

Additional charges have been given to Suresh Prabhu as Ashok Gajapathi Raju has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister before two days and the resignation has been accepted by President Ram Nath Kovind, a Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Suresh Prabhu has been directed by the President to take up the charge as Civil Aviation Minister, in addition to his existing portfolio.

The resignations were given in the wake of Centre out-rightly rejecting the SCS demand. TDP has decided to pull out their MPs from the NDA government on Wednesday late night.

Speaking to the media after submitting the resignations Ashok Gajapathi Raju said that though they have resigned from NDA, the TD party will continue to be part of the ruling alliance.

YS Chowdary said that the issue of the SCS is very emotional to the people of Andhra Pradesh. He also added that the centre has done what it can to the state and it is unfair to blame the center wholly.

Chowdary also said that “I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.”
