Debate on No-confidence motion on Friday

Speaker Sumitra Mahajan who has admitted the no-confidence motion has confirmed that Lok Sabha will hold discussions on the TDP’s no-confidence motion against the centre over the AP special status row on Friday.
She said that the discussion will be followed by voting on the same. The discussion will be held for the full day on Friday, July 20th.
UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi speaks to the media asked that their party has trust vote numbers for passing the motion.
However, BJP seems to not be disturbed by any of the proceedings going on in the house. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale responding to Sonia’s comments said, ‘’I think such overconfidence will serve no purpose. We will show a clear majority on July 20th. We will win comfortably and show our strength to the opposition’’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the opposition to allow debates that can help the government to review its policies just before the commencement of the monsoon session.
NDA government might be taking this no-confidence motion as an opportunity to review its policies and to make a better government of itself by proving their strength in the house after the debate.
We would have to wait and see till Friday which party has over-confidence and which party has not. The house proceedings are giving out the notion that all the anti-BJP forces have come together to wipe out the power of the saffron party from the map.
