CBN accuses BJP of attempts of deriding democracy

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu as if waiting for the opportunity to pounce took the chance at once after the saffron party stepped down from the power in Karnataka.

CM accused the BJP of attempts to deride democracy and encourage corruption in Karnataka. CBN took to Twitter after the three-day-old Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa resigning even before facing floor test in Karnataka Assembly on Saturday.

He tweeted that, “this is a victory for democracy. As a Chief Minister and as someone who believes in democracy, I am welcoming this.”  Terming that “Everyone in the country will be happy about this development,” Chandrababu Naidu said, “Prime Minister and BJP National president have tried to deride the democracy.”

He questioned, “What message Prime Minister and BJP President combine has given to the nation by encouraging the corrupt? What is the message they are giving to the youth?’

Saying that the prime minister had promised to be honest and bring back black money from Swiss Bank and abroad, the Andhra Pradesh chief minister said, “But, BJP bribed up to Rs10,000 for each vote in the Karnataka elections.”

He further accused BJP of misusing its power by bringing the corruption baron Gali into the scenario and using the governor's power for taking hold of Karnataka state.
