Gaming city to come up in Visakhapatnam

The state government is prepping up for setting up a gaming city in Visakhapatnam.

The state cabinet has given its nod to animations and visual effects, gaming and comics policy.

With the new policy would attract an investment of about Rs 6,400 crore by 2020, the government estimates.

The gaming city will be built over 40 acres of land in Visakhapatnam. An AP Animation and Gaming City Centre of Excellence (AGCC) with a dedicated fibre line are also under talks for setting up.

Entertainment parks will also be built under the policy. 
The new policy also provides for 50 percent GST concession for Telugu, English, and Hindi animation movies made with a budget below Rs 5 crore. There will be employment concession also.
