Japanese firm THK to invest in Andhra Pradesh

THK Company which manufactures linear motion guides for industrial equipment is going to invest $200 million in the state.

The Japanese firm is setting up its manufacturing facility in the state which is their first manufacturing facility in India.

The construction is coming up in a 50 acre of land in Sri City SEZ in Chittoor which would be started from August this year. 

A MoU has been signed in this regard by Akihiro Teramachi, president, and CEO, THK, and J Krishna Kishore, CEO, AP Economic Development Board, in the presence of CM N Chandrababu Naidu at Velagapudi on Tuesday.

Economic growth in India will be the driving force in today’s world economy and demand for industrial machinery is likely to increase substantially in the coming years. 

Andhra Pradesh is becoming a preferred destination for manufacturing centers because of its focus on innovation and networked excellence, scalable partnerships, and a robust investment climate.
