Green bus manufacturing plant foundation stone laid today

Foundation stone was laid for a green bus-manufacturing plant of Ashok Leyland by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday at the Model Industrial Park, Mallavalli village in Krishna district.
The plant is being set up in 75 acres and will include latest technologies to deliver high-quality standards as part of the fast upcoming manufacturing hub in Krishna District. 
The plant will be able to produce 4800 buses per annum once fully constructed and has the potential to employ over 5000 employees. A state of art learning centre and an advanced service training centre is also being set up.  
The plant have the capability to make the entire range of buses of Ashok Leyland brand, the facility will also include an electric vehicle development centre comprising of a futuristic conveyor line, pilot assembly line, and prototype development.
Speaking at the ceremony CM said the day is a landmark day for us and we are excited to have such an established company like Ashok Leyland setting up a factory in Andhra Pradesh. 
He added that the factory will not only provide jobs to our youth but also help improve the skill level of our people in the state and overall economy of the region.
