BJP government betrayed AP said Balakrishna

Actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna on Saturday said that the BJP led central government has betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh.

He said the people of Andhra Pradesh were denied the right which is basic and that is why the state government has withdrawn its alliance from the NDA government he added.

He further added the newly formed state will continue to fight for its rightful share from the central allocations.

Balakrishna who was on a Road Show to promote the Lepakshi Utsav has made his views out the media.

He added that the BJP government has is not fulfilling its promise to provide more allocations from the Centre after the bifurcation of united Andhra and gave a ‘pittance’ despite the newborn State sending Rs 45,000 crore tax remittance per annum to the Centre.

He further stated that because the centre is not standing to its assurances made Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has come out of the alliance.

The funds received from the center to Andhra Pradesh are much less than the big promises made very less compared to the grants allocated to the small North Eastern states, he added.

Balakrishna said that TD party would fight for the rights of Andhra Pradesh and would protest against the NDA government till the promises made in the bifurcation act are fulfilled.
